Our lunches are not only delicious, they’re easy, convenient, great value - and just a simple, secure online payment guarantees your child’s individually labelled lunch arrives safely at school.

Every Munch Orders lunch is 100% home made from scratch, with the freshest ingredients - we avoid pre-packed, processed foods and anything supplied by convenience outlets. It’s the only way we can ensure absolute freshness and high quality, wholesome ingredients.

Munch Orders is about lunches that are substantial, healthy, nutritious and that kids will love. Good food that tastes great!

At Munch Orders we’re concerned about the increase in obesity, Type 2 Diabetes, behavioural disorders and allergies amongst today’s school children. It is now widely accepted that these issues are related to diet.

The amount of chemicals and additives we feed our kids every day is crazy. You may not realise how prevalent they are. In fact, finding ingredients without additives is extremely difficult.

At Munch Orders, each ingredient is the best we can find. The freshest, the most natural, the least refined or processed, and with as close-to-zero chemicals, preservatives and additives as possible.

The Munch Orders menu has been carefully constructed to ensure nutritional balance across the main food groups with an emphasis on fibre, wholegrains & cereals, protein, fruits and vegetables, reduced-fat dairy and the use of healthier mono-unsaturated fats like olive oil.

Every day of each term’s menu is different. There are Junior and Senior size lunch options and both offer a choice of two main courses.

The result is a well balanced and healthy range of kiddie-approved lunches: lots of variety, flavours, textures and ingredients. And lots of goodness.

Other points to note about our lunches:

• Nut free
• Cold food only
• Emphasis on wholemeal/grain or rye bread varieties (and no bread products containing preservative 282)
• Free range eggs and chemical-free chicken
• No added sugar or salt other than to provide seasoning as per the recipe (Munch Orders uses iodised sea salt and reduced-salt soy sauce)
• Reduced-fat alternatives and healthy fats (eg olive oil) are widely substituted throughout for butter and dairy ingredients
• Recyclable packaging, as paper based as possible, and kept to a minimum. We currently use biodegradable cutlery, other items to follow
• Organic produce is used as much as possible and where seasonal

• We don't supply drinks. We believe water is the best thirst quencher for school children, and most parents are happy to provide this themselves
• An alternative main course item is offered each week - a simple option to satisfy the fussier eaters or those with developing taste buds
• Unfortunately we can't cater for special diets, vegetarians or allergy sufferers. If you are at all concerned about these issues, please check the ingredient listing on the menu page
• Our lunches are prepared in hygienic conditions, in full compliance with food safety and hygiene laws. They are prepared with care, one at a time, and delivered in insulated boxes to ensure freshness
• Munch Orders lunches are delivered as close to lunch time as possible. And all lunches should be eaten on the day of delivery - for lunch!

We make our lunches either the night before or on the morning of delivery, to ensure every lunch is as fresh as possible. Nothing is bought in, and processed and refined foods are kept to a minimum. All our lunches follow the guidelines set down in the Victorian Government’s “Go For Your Life” Healthy School Canteens Policy (Munch Orders is a member of Nutrition Australia).

Munch Orders is available 2 days per week – the actual days will depend on which school your child attends.

Enrolment is easy: just complete the enrolment form with your details and those of your children, and you can start to enjoy fresh healthy lunches, delivered direct to your school.

Munch Orders lunches are available in two sizes. Both are great value, covering all costs from research and food preparation to packaging and delivery.

Senior Size - $7.50

3 course lunch ideal for most kids, especially those with heartier appetites, comprising a main course, fruit course and a healthy treat.

Junior Size - $6.50

2 course lunch suitable for smaller appetites and younger kids, comprising the main course and either the fruit course OR the healthy treat.

Term Discounts

Order a full term of lunches, either one day a week or both days, to earn a discount of up to 15%. Discounts will vary from term to term - details will be emailed to all enrolled members, so stay tuned!

Ordering your Munch Orders lunches is really simple and done right here on the website. Payment is made through the secure Paypal system.

You will receive immediate email confirmation of your order from Paypal, and we double-check orders at several stages to ensure every child receives his and her lunch.

Please note that you must place your order by the deadline, which will be 10:00pm Friday or 10:00pm Monday, depending on the Munch Orders days for your school.

For instance, if your Munch Orders days are Thursday and Friday, your deadline for orders is 10pm Monday the same week.

You can place orders for an entire term at once, for all your children at once, and pay for it all in one go. Any discounts awarded for advance term orders will be automatically calculated and charged at the time of payment (see ‘How Much’)

If you miss the deadline it is still possible to order an emergency lunch.

If your child is sick or cannot attend school for whatever reason, his or her Munch Orders lunch will be credited to a future date in the same term or following term - so long as you call 0439 615 425 and inform us by 9am on the day of the order.

Please note that we cannot refund the cost of the lunch, and after 9:00am the lunch will be delivered to the school whether or not your child will be there to eat it!
